OCR: COMBAT RESOLUTION is subtracted from the AW. Next the program looks for all units who have orders to supply the defending region. For each supplier who has not had its supply cut, 1 is subtracted from the AW. Finally, if the AW is greater than 0, the attack is successful and the attacker advances and the defender must retreat. A loading army, if success- fully transported, is considered to be attacking his coastal region destination and is thus treated as an attacking unit. It can be rein- forced the same as any other attacking unit. IMPORTANT NOTE: Units who are attacking/loading do not count as far as defending the region they currently occupy. That is, if a unit has written an order to attack/load, and they are attacked, then they have no defense against incoming attack(s). ADVANCES/RET ...
